Ugh!

I have been teaching for 11 years now. I have made it through whooping cough, walking pneumonia, the flu, chicken pox, lice, full moons, you name it and never got sick..... Until today.....

I took off my cardigan and heard a colleague say "Um, I think you have ring worm on your arm."

"WHAT"

"The back of your arm, it looks like ring worm"

"Ring worm, how do you get ring worm?" I have never had it before so I had no idea what it looks like or how to treat it. Oh yeah, its massively contagious so I now have the areas bandaged. I already found what looks like the start of another ring by my wrist.

I currently look like I am a triage patient. And, do you know how hard it is to tape gauze to the back of your arm. I'm having the hubby fix it when he gets home.

By the way, do you know what the pharmacist gave me to treat it?

Jock itch cream. Yep, jock itch cream.

At least I got a good laugh!

  2. It's not fun having ring worm. My kid got it one time and they prescribed the same thing. It works.

  3. Little buggers! If it makes you feel any better... my first winter break from teaching induced SHINGLES in me! Awesome.

I was also prescribed lotrimin for fungus in my armpit... WTF!? Who gets fungus in their armpit? Sick!

Do we sound like a charming pair or what!?

    Hope it clears up soon.
